  • Thriving in the Unknown – It rocks your world.  It really does. Having a medical background, knowing the milestones a child should be hitting, I knew at one year that things didn’t seem quite right. By 18 months, being around people outside of our home practically paralyzed him. By age two, it wasn’t much better.
  • How We Pushed for a Diagnosis – Nick was 2 when we realized he needed help. He barely knew five words and no hand gestures. If he needed something, he would scream in frustration. We could tell he wanted to say something, but he couldn’t get the words to come out. Meltdowns were guaranteed to happen on a daily basis.
